Graduations...

Has it really been 7 years since this happened?

and 3 years since this?

and 2 years since this one?

with all of the talk of graduation lately (including celebrating my little brother's from Texas A&M---way to go bro!), I've taken several trips down memory lane over the last couple of weeks.  it's so hard to believe that 7 years ago i was preparing to give a speech and walk across a stage with 225 other people that i had grown up with in l-town, most of whom i haven't seen since that day.  thank goodness for facebook or i probably wouldn't have kept up with as many as i have!  :)  i am thankful for my memories of livingston high school---world history chariot races with mr. helm, spelling and vocabulary uil with mrs. maze, calculus with mrs. paterson, chemistry with mrs. greene, thousands of band and choir memories---and i know that each of them shaped me in some form or fashion (i definitely learned about perseverance in calculus!).  good times @ lhs!  while it's hard to believe that it's been 7 years since i graduated from high school, it's even harder at times to believe that i've been out of college/grad school for 3/2 years respectively.  it seems like FOREVER since i lived in waco and enjoyed the life of a baylor bear.  i miss it so very much.  i'm thankful that i get to visit waco/baylor often these days, but oh how i miss those carefree days of being a student and hanging out with friends all of the time.  so many sweet memories and sweet friends!  :)  all of this to say, over the next couple of weeks as graduates continue to walk across the stage, i'll continue to reminisce those good 'ole days of high school, college, and grad school and thank the Lord for sweet friends and fun memories.
