confident peace

i hesitate to say that the last week has been "the" hardest week of my life, but i think it has been "one" of the hardest weeks of my life. while tremendous hurt and pain have been present in my heart, i have felt great love and support from friends and family. i have often wondered how i might go on, but on tuesday morning during my quiet time, God gave me a confident peace that i will be okay, and that if i am completely honest with myself, i know this is the best thing for us right now. while this doesn't take away the pain and the hurt of not being with my best friend anymore, i am confident that God is going to work through the pain, the hurt, and the loneliness to draw me closer to Him. me, myself, and i are the only things that stand in the way of me being everything that God wants me to be. i ask you to pray for me, and pray hard because satan is VERY present in the world that we live in and i often feel his attacks early in the morning. i will end with a quote that i read on a friend's facebook last night that i feel like sums up my life right now...‎"We are not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be." — C.S. Lewis

  1. Thinking of you often. A verse that has helped me recently...
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43: 18-19
