trust

"trust in the Lord with all your heart."

this has always been a favorite verse of mine since i can remember. i think it learned it first in Bible Drill in 3rd or 4th grade and it's just stuck with me.  over the last three months i've learned a lot about trust.  trusting that God is there all the time, trusting my friends, trusting myself, trusting that God does have great things for me even when i don't see them, trusting that life goes on after relationships of all kind end, trusting that the Lord is GOOD.  it's been a fabulous season of growth as i've been challenged by people around me and by God to let go of control and trust.  this verse has been what i have clung to over the last three months---always reminding myself to trust God with all of my heart, not just some of it.  this past wednesday, gary used this verse as he was teaching the youth and it was a wonderful reminder to me that i needed to evaluate whether or not i was trusting the Lord as I desire and as He desires for me.  life has been so good lately and often when life is good, it is easy to take back control of my life.  the Lord reminded me on wednesday night that it is about trusting Him all the time with all of my heart, even when i feel like things are "under control."  so today, i'm trusting that God is there all the time, trusting my friends, trusting myself that i will learn from the past, trusting the God does have great things for me, trusting that the Lord is GOOD.  who are you trusting today?
